Antonio Francesco Gori was a clergyman, a history teacher and the founder of the Accademia Columbiana in Florence. He left 154 volumes of notes, drawings, dissertations, and more than ten thousand letters from 732 correspondents. His numerous publications are typical for the early 18th century scholar in his possession of a classical erudition with an emphasis on "etruscheria." WorldCat record id: 269579324 Luigi Guido Grandi was an Italian priest, philosopher, mathematician, and engineer. He was Jesuit-educated and became a member of the Camaldolese order. He became a professor of philosophy at the Camaldolese monastery in Florence in 1700 and a professor of mathematics in 1714. He died in 1742 in Pisa. From ...
